10gen source code is offered under a set of OSI Approved open source licenses. We've partitioned the platform into four major pieces and license them as follows:
Please note: your web application is considered separate and demarcated from the core 10gen components. Use of the 10gen "stack" does not encumber your separate web application that runs atop the platform.
- CoreJS Library, Core Modules: these are licensed under the Apache License v2.0.
- Application Server, Mongo Database, and Grid Management System: these are licensed under the GNU AGPL v3.0.
