MongoDB for Location Based Services

Mongodb allows us to rapidly prototype applications. With the growing set of features, which now includes geo-indexing, we can quickly and easily build location aware applications. We will explore some of the internals of MongoDB's geo-indexing while walking though the development of a rapidly developed mobile app called Pulse which was built using node.js, socket.io, express.js, mongoose, facebook connect, various google apis, and phonegap.
