Dwight Merriman, the CEO of 10gen and one of the core MongoDB kernel committers, demos replica sets from MongoDB v1.6. Replica Sets are MongoDB's new method of replication. It is an elaboration on the existing master/slave replication, supporting automatic failover and automatic recovery of nodes.
