There was demand for NewWave to produce a scalable, clinical data acquisition product that allowed healthcare providers to collect patient information from multiple systems. They needed a database solution that could handle big and small data without turning to expensive enterprise solutions. MongoDB proved to have the capability of creating a flexible repository that both read and solved sundry system formats. This webinar will cover the initial issues with data collection of one’s electronic health records and how MongoDB delivers a new perspective on data modeling.
Patrick Munis: About the speaker
Patrick Munis is the founder and CEO of NewWave Telecom & Technologies Inc, based out of Elkridge, Maryland. NewWave is an 8(a)/SDB, CMMI level 2, and MBE certified, full-service Information Technology and Business Services firm and a leading implementer of business solutions using service-oriented technologies. Patrick is a highly accomplished Technical Executive with 15+ years of IT expertise in translating customer requirements to leading-edge technical solutions specializing in enterprise Java programming and development. His technical expertise includes leading large scale systems integration with COTS products, business activity monitoring (BAM), web services development, and portal integration. Strategic leadership includes leading initiatives and business planning to align capabilities with the e-health standards, applications, and informatics underlying the current transformation of health service delivery and quality evaluation. In addition, he provides Executive oversight in the development of NewWave process management to facilitate excellence in project service delivery, quality, and execution for customers. Patrick holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Coppin State University, and is currently pursuing an MBA at MIT.
