As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical and functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Work with Sales Personnel to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities, as well as ongoing technical qualification of opportunitiesResponsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.

• Support achievement of sales monthly, quarterly and annual sales bookings objectives
• Reduce/eliminate technical obstacles to winning the technical recommendation.
• Technical and competitive positioning of proposed solution
• Provide proof/reference points that proposed solutions are architecturally sound, and operationally manageable for the customer
• Help with the creation of technical whitepapers and some technical webinars
• Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, meetups, seminars, etc.
• Travel to customer locations, marketing events, and internal 10gen events as required
• Exercise prudent expense controls

Qualifications:

• B.A. / B.S. or equivalent work experience
• 5 years track record in software solution pre-sales, with database or systems experience highly preferred
• Experience in scalable and highly available systems
• MANDATORY - High-tech background including database and infrastructure software experience
• Good understanding of the web infrastructure and ecosystem
• Demonstrated history of regular goal achievement in highly competitive environment
• Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
• Familiarity with database, application server, web server, and other enterprise markets and technologies
• Candidate must be located in Dublin
• MANDATORY - Candidate must be fluent in English and German and/or French
